BOSK: (Noun) “small wood of bushes and small trees” (Oxford English Dictionary).
After 15 years of providing an extensive range of experiences for children, young people and adults alike at our woodland sites in Radbourne and Staunton Harold, I now deliver outdoor learning & development opportunities at a new site near Derby. My focus for the future is to support teachers, teaching assistants and outdoor practitioners to take education outside and explore the infinite ways in which both curriculum and child led learning can be naturally creative, even when outdoor space and resources might seem limited. My career in health as a children’s nurse and nurse educator married up with the love for the outdoors has helped me realise how essential it is that children get good quality play and education time outside. Of course today this is now backed up with an abundance of evidence and thankfully being embraced by educators as we see Forest School now booming!! Magic! Come and spend some time with me and my colleagues and together we can play our small part to inspire the next generation to be guardians of the natural world.
I very much look forward to seeing you here soon.
Kind Regards Matt Jackson RN Child
